Random Collection of Pictures September 2025

We started September out with a birthday! Thank you to everyone for making it a pleasant experience and memories!

Not too much as interesting pictures in September but here we go!

On the 2nd day of September - caught the moon peeking over the tree canopy at home.

Someday I hope to see these natural landmarks in person - Monument Rocks.

A great quote from Willa Cather. It is so true and just a beautiful picture of the Willa Cather prairie - protected from being used for anything but as prairie. I sit on one of the Committees for the Willa Cather Foundation.

Maps have always fascinated me - I would spend hours looking at my Dad's road atlas or other maps. Now I use Google Maps and Google Earth lol. A lot of weird things happened around New Madrid with the river -- here a part of Kentucky is landlocked by Missouri and Tennessee. The road from Tennessee to Kentucky is paved and stripe painted then it turns into bleh at the Kentucky line.

Ah - the Roebling Bridge connecting Cincinnati and Covington. Did I drive over that bridge a lot or what? I see that the Ohio side now has a nice river walk and the Kentucky side has a colorful weird shaped building -- neither were there in the 80s. (For context - I lived in Covington for a short while)

A view of Citico Avenue from the family waiting room at Memorial Hospital.

Venus shining bright beside the Moon.

There are no Division 1 athletic conferences that have the elevation gap like the Big 12 conference. And believe me, there's a big difference in higher elevation athletics.

Two very cool Facebook history postings on the same day. For the curious about my hypothesis, the front and back gauges were about the same but the middle one was 1.5 more than the other two.

Picture of me outside of the library building.
